Practice: For 30 years, Dr. Silverman has provided psychological services to adults, families, adolescents, and children. His specialties include individual psychotherapy, family therapy, group therapy, psychological testing, pain management, and stress reduction. He is an expert diagnostician. Professional Honors: Among his many professional activities, Dr. Silverman was past president of the Division of Psychotherapy, Fellow of the American Psychological Association, and Fellow of Four Divisions of the Association: Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy, Private Practice, and Health Psychology. He is board certified in clinical psychology and is a Fellow of the Academy of Clinical Psychology. He is past president of the Division of Psychotherapy of the American Psychological Association and past president of the Dade County Psychological Association. He is currently a board member of the Florida Psychological Association. Academic Positions: In addition to private practice, Dr. Silverman has been a Professor and Chief of Psychology at Emory University Medical School in Atlanta, Chairman of the Psychology Department at Barry University in Miami, Associate Professor at the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago, and Visiting Professor at Nova Southeastern University. |
