About Dr. Silverman
For over 30 years, Dr. Silverman has provided psychological services to adults, families, adolescents, and children. His specialties include individual psychotherapy, family therapy, group therapy, psychological testing, pain management, and stress reduction. He is an expert diagnostician.
Among his many professional activities, Dr. Silverman is the president elect of the Florida Psychological Association, he and was past president of the Division of Psychotherapy, and Fellow of the American Psychological Association. He is a board certified clinical psychologist and is a Fellow of the Academy of Clinical Psychology. He is past president of the Division of Psychotherapy of the American Psychological Association and past president of the Dade County Psychological Association.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Silverman has been a Professor and Chief of Psychology at Emory University Medical School in Atlanta, Chairman of the Psychology Department at Barry University in Miami, Associate Professor at the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago, and Visiting Professor at Nova Southeastern University.
