Dr. Silverman is a board certified clinical psychologist as well as a forensic psychologist. He has worked with children, adolescents, couples and families since 1969. Dr. Silverman has chaired the psychology departments at Emory University Medical School and Barry University and was editor of the journal, Psychotherapy.
He is past president of the Dade County Psychological Association and current President-elect of the Florida Psychological Association. He has received the Distinguished Psychologist award from The Division of Psychotherapy and from the Florida Psychological Association. Dr. Silverman has worked in such civil cases as child custody, psychological malpractice, and psychological damages. In the criminal arena, he has worked with competency to proceed and mitigating circumstances. He also has had broad experience in IME administration and fitness for duty evaluation.
